Montenegrin publishing company Rabbit Records, in cooperation with Made in New York Competition and Festival INC from New York, for the second time in a row, had an honor to organize the Made in New York Jazz Festival, Montenegro 2018.
Festival was held on 15th of June at the Summer stage in Tivat and on 17th of June in the atrium of "The Capital Plaza" in Podgorica.
In addition to main program, on Saturday night, at Ethno Jazz Club Sejdefa, James Brown Tribute Band had a spectacular performance. On the day of Podgorica concert, everyone interested had an opportunity to be a part of a two-hour master class, held by these famous artists, where they have learned lot of tips and tricks from the greatest musicians of our time.
During two days of the festival some of the biggest names of the world jazz scene performed:
Dave Weckl – drums, Yaacov Mayman - sax/ewi, Richie Goods – bass, Raymond Ray Angry – keyboard, Jorge Luis Pacheco - piano/keys, Igmar Thomas – trumpet, Caloé – vocal, Brianna Thomas – vocal, Ivan Aleksijević - piano/keys, Milorad Šule Jovović – guitar, Vladimir Tubić – guitar, Ivan Ilić – trombone, Miladin Wes Peruničić – guitar, Max Kochetov – sax, Vladimir Maraš - piano/keys.
Sponsors of this year festival are Ministry of culture of Montenegro, National tourist organization, Hipotekarna bank, Center for culture Tivat, US embassy in Montenegro, the capital city of Podgorica with the main secretariat for culture, Toshiba and hotel Centre Ville.
Friends of the festival are: Yamaha/Eurounit, Taraba, Hard Rock Cafe and Ethno Jazz Club "Sejdefa".
Official vehicle is Renault.
